Happy Memories

I love the new Garden Tile Frame from Dusty Attic! It's just gorgeous! I've used it in this layout with Prima's Nature Garden collection, another of my fave collections from Prima Marketing.

I applied Glimmer Glaze in two different colors to the chipboard frame, and then applied a layer of Clear Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint over it, further highlighting certain areas with another layer of Glimmer Glaze over the crackle paint. I really like how it turned out and the effect it created.

Everything else in this layout is from Prima. Among my faves from their new range are the wood tickets and the metal branch ornaments. So pretty!

And I combined two pieces of the Nature Garden Journaling Notecards to create a mount for the photo.

Thanks so much for dropping by! I really appreciate your taking the time to do so. :)

Life Lessons

Here's a layout I did using some beautiful papers from Simple Stories' Generations collection, along with Dusty Attic's gorgeous chipboard pieces.

I applied distress embossing powder to the chipboard pieces, and then layered this over with distress stickles applied in strategic areas, to give them just the right amount of texture and sparkle.

Here are more close-ups. I also added stickles to the flower centres for some added sparkle.

Back To Nature

This is the final layout for my Sweet Secrets class.

I used pop-up dots for the hand-cut pieces to add depth and dimension, and don't you just love that new long wooden birdcage from Kaisercraft?!

I applied Tea Dye distress ink to strategic parts of the birdcage and then went over the inked portions with Antique Linen distress stickles. I then embellished the cage with pearls and hand-cut flowers and butterflies.

I made a little "pocket" with the Kaisercraft Sweet Nothings Sincerely paper, and adhered this to the back of the cage. The journaling tag is then hidden inside this "pocket".

Thanks so much for dropping by! :)

Enjoy

Here's the second layout from my Sweet Secrets class, using Kaisercraft products.

The papers from the Sweet Nothings collection lent themselves so well to fussy cutting. I did lots of layering of the flowers in this layout, and embellished the large hand-cut flower and the chandelier with some pretty pearl strands.

The muslin behind the photo adds to the soft, feminine look of the layout.

The hidden journaling for this layout is found in the piece of tag behind the photo.
