Our Story

Time for another reveal at My Creative Sketches! This month's sketch is yet another beautiful one, and for my DT project, I've created this layout of our family using KaiserCraft's Miss Empire Collection. Here's a look at the sketch.

I've flipped my layout to a mirror image of the sketch. I wanted lots of texture and dimension for the layout, so I water distressed the paper edges, and also added lace and burlap to it. To give it a 3-D look, I used pop-up foam dots for the photo, hand-cut pieces, and flowers, and did lots of layering of the embellishments.

Here are some close-ups.

Thanks so much for dropping by, and do hop on over to the MCS blog for more inspiration, and a look at the awesome prize this month!

And I also just want to wish all the wonderful dads out there a very happy Father's Day!

The layering and details on this are just amazing. However, I am just struck speechless by the marrying of burlap and lace - I love them both and they are just PERFECT together.

This was truly inspiring for me. Thanks for sharing!
