Dreams Do Come True

Did this for my DT layout for Creative Scrappers' Sketch #18. It's based on a gorgeous, gorgeous sketch by Liz Weber that I totally love! I used papers from KaiserCraft's beautiful Flutterby collection, and did lots of cut-outs and added lots of embellishments, not to mention my fave Stickles!

The matting for the photo is actually corrugated cardboard that I painted and distressed, as I wanted lots of textures for this layout.

Sisterly Love

I love this photo of my two girls and just had to scrap it. My wish is that they will remain this close to each other always!

I crackle painted the chipboard swirl and embellished it with flowers which I had applied stickles to. I also added some crystal swirls and felt embellishments for texture.

I just love the new range of Essentials flowers from Prima - they're gorgeous!

The journaling is a quote from Isadora James, which I thought was very appropriate for this photo.

Just Chillin'

This is my very first DT layout for Creative Scrappers, which was revealed last Sunday (7 September). It is based on Sketch #16 - a lovely sketch by Monika Martinson. I love the die cut cardstock by Creative Imaginations and I used two other cardstocks for backing to give the layout a kind of additional "frame" on one side, and also to enhance the scalloped edges of the CI cardstock. The patterned papers are from Heather Bailey and I used my favourite Martha Stewart Crafts lace puncher on them again - haha! The photos are of my youngest DD "chillin' out" at home, hence the title!

Materials used:
Patterned papers - Heather Bailey
Cardstocks - Creative Imaginations Flower Die Cut Cardstock in Cream, Bazzill 12x12 Scalloped Circle Cardstock in Bloom, Bazzill Basics Textured Cardstock in Hazel, WorldWin Papers DoubleMates Cardstock in Perfect Plum
Title Alphas - American Crafts Shoe Box Glitter Chipboard Letter Stickers, Making Memories Cheeky Shimmer Stickers (both in White)
Butterfly - Paperbliss Salon 3D Accents (featuring designs by Heather Bailey)
Crystal Swirls - Prima Say It In Crystals
Others - Lace Trims, Tim Holtz Distress Ink, Martha Stewart Crafts Doily Lace Edge Punch

Updates - LOTW and MLOTD

Two layouts which I had submitted to Treasured Scrapbooking last month were chosen as Layout of the Week and Members Layout of the Day respectively. "Celebrate!", which is the very first layout I ever did, was chosen as Layout of the Week for the week of 31 August, while "By The Sea" was chosen as the Members Layout of the Day for 30 August. Such wonderful surprises!

Little Princess

I completed this layout last weekend but haven't had time to post it until now. It's based on a sketch by Kelli Crowe for Pencil Lines. And I used absolutely no patterned paper for this layout! I chose a black cardstock for the background so as to make the colourful flowers stand out. I also applied stickles to the flowers to give them some added glitter.

I used a Creative Imaginations cardstock sticker for the circular "frame" for the photo, and coloured it orange to match the colour scheme of the surrounding flowers. I also applied stickles and gems to the "frame" to give it a bit of shimmer and glitter. I then added a white lace trim to it to highlight it, and added crystal swirls around the flowers for even more bling.

Materials:
Cardstock - Bazzill
Cardstock Sticker - Creative Imaginations
Flowers - Prima, American Crafts
Brads - Creative Imaginations, Making Memories
Crystals - Prima Say It In Crystals (Swirls), Hero Arts (on the Circular Frame)
Title Sticker - Me & My Big Ideas Soft Spoken Embellishments
Others - Lace, Marvy Markers, Ranger Ice Stickles in Crystal Ice

Cutie Pie

Did this layout of my older DD when she was a toddler. The photo has been lying in my room for some years now (yes, years!) and when I found this set of patterned papers from Fancy Pants in my stash, I immediately knew I had to use it with this photo.

I used Fancy Pants' My Valentine transparency on top of their Sweet Pea patterned paper, and then applied stickles on the transparency to outline the flowers, swirls, hearts and stars, to give the layout some sparkle as well as texture.

I then stamped the photo corners with Fancy Pants' Bella Brush clear stamps, and also stickled the flowers on the patterned paper which I used to mat the photo. I finally added flowers on pop-up dots to give the layout even more texture.

Materials used:
Patterned Papers - Fancy Pants Sweet Pea range - Sophie, Emma, and Noah
Transparency - Fancy Pants My Valentine
Stamps - Fancy Pants Bella Brush clear stamps
Inks - Versa Fine in Onyx Black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Weathered Wood
Flowers - Heidi Grace, Prima, Doodlebug Designs, Unknown
Brads - Making Memories Crystal Brads
Alphas - American Crafts Shoe Box Glitter Chipboard Thickers in Black
Others - Ranger Ice Stickles in Crystal Ice
