Dream

Here's another Prima layout I just completed today, this time using their Melody Collection papers.

I cut out the frame from the Songbird paper, placed some muslin cloth on the layout, and then re-attached the frame over the muslin cloth using pop-up dots. This gives the layout both added texture and dimension.

I also cut off the top strip of the paper and used it as a strip of journaling across the photo. As the printed words were rather light, I applied Distress Crackle Paint in Rock Candy to it, to darken the print and give it texture at the same time.

Thanks so much for dropping by! :)

With the exception of the little Hambly birdcages, everything else here is from Prima. I did lots of layering of the papers and embellishments, and mixed the flowers and vines with some hand cut flowers and leaves.

Here are some close-ups.

Scenic

I finally got around to using these lovely papers from Making Memories' Je t'Adore Collection. There are so many pretty papers out there that I've been buying them faster than I can scrap with them - lol!

I love that these papers lend themselves so well to cutting. I decided to use mainly the hand-cut flowers for embellishment, adding some laces and muslin for a softer look.

I used pop-up dots to adhere the hand-cut flowers to add dimension.

And I added a piece of hidden journaling behind the photo.

Here are more details:

Ten

It's the first day of Chinese New Year today, so wishing everyone who celebrates "Gong Xi Fa Cai"!

Here's another layout using Basic Grey's Curio papers. I did this layout to commemorate my younger DD turning a decade old last month.

I cut the Muslin paper into a circle, distressed the edges, and trimmed it with some pretty lace from Prima.

I then pasted the hand-cut flowers from the Ophelia paper using pop-up dots, for some dimension, and embellished the layout with flowers, pearls, and butterflies punched out with my Martha Stewart craft punch.

I love that even with the blue and brown colours of these papers, I can still create a very feminine layout!

Thanks so much for dropping by! :)
