It's time for another reveal at My Creative Sketches, and here is my DT layout for this month, inspired by this lovely sketch below by Liz Chidester.
I chose to do another layout using photos from my daughter's school literature trip to the United Kingdom last June. These were taken in the city of Bath, and I just love the shot of the colourful suspended umbrellas, and of course of the girls' happy faces.
I used a mix of papers from Webster's Pages and K and Company for the layout, and used corrugated cardboards for the little squares behind the photos, applying gesso to them and then spraying them with glimmer mists to match the colours reflected in the flowers and the papers. I then also inked the edges of the corrugated cardboards, photos and papers with distress ink in Dusty Concord.
Here are a couple of close-ups.
Now hop on over the MCS blog for more inspiration, check out the amazing prize that's been put together for this month's lucky winner, and come join in the fun! Thank you for dropping by! :)
