Nine

The main photo here is of my younger DD celebrating her 9th birthday last month, with her sis and friends. And of course I just had to use my new Prima purchases!

I chose this particular paper from their Pastiche collection for its very floral theme, to match the garden theme of her birthday cupcakes.

I then embellished it further with more flowers and leaves from Prima, with just a touch of lace below the photos, and some bling flourishes.

And don't you just love their new chipboard alphas? Here, I inked the edges for a slightly distressed look.

Materials used:
Patterned Papers – Prima – Pastiche Collection – Quirky, Butterfly Wings
Flowers - Prima – Symphony Blend “Cappella Blue”, Camilla “Lemon Zest”, Primrosa “Spice”, Primrosa “Woodland”, Ameruse “Duchess Mix”
Leaves – Prima – Velvet Heirloom Rose Leaves “Rugosa”, Temple Leaves “Thalae Blue”, Temple Leaves “Dang Red”

Lace - Prima
Alphas – Prima Chipboard Alphabets - Times Alphabet “Mint Garden”

Beautiful and Unique

I just love the colours in Basic Grey's Origins collection. In this layout, I used three different border punches on the papers. I think that the Pop-Up Butterflies one from Martha Stewart Crafts is especially cute.

I then embellished with some lace and a jeweled butterfly from Prima. The papers are so lovely on their own that they need little other embellishments, don't you think?

Materials used:
Patterned Papers - Basic Grey - Origins Collection - Renew, Brown Sugar Scrub, Sugar Pea, Hot Stone, Pure
Lace - Prima
Butterfly - Prima Jewel Box Butterflies "Torino"
Title - Me And My Big Ideas Stickers - Live Green "Beautiful", Making Memories Vintage Findings Epoxy Foil Alpha - Cream, and Basic Grey Epoxy Stickers - Origins
Punches - Martha Stewart Crafts - Doily Lace Edge Punch, Martha Stewart Crafts - Pop-Up Butterflies Edge Punch, and Fiskars - Sunburst Border Punch
Ink - Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Frayed Burlap

Happiness

I recently discovered these papers from Fancy Pants Designs in my stash, and decided to do this layout of my younger DD. I like the quote: "To live happily is an inward power of the soul", and I titled the layout "Happiness".

I used Martha Stewart's Edge Punch on some of the edges of the papers, and also used the backing of a Prima packaging to provide a contrast to the floral papers as well as to stick the title onto.

I mixed the flowers from Prima with three that I made using the same Fancy Pants papers, and further embellished the layout with Prima pearls and crystals.

I also framed my DD's face with Making Memories' Glitter Frame, for more added bling.

Materials used:
Patterned Papers - Fancy Pants Designs - Delight Collection - Potpourri, Bunches, Delight Strips
Cardstock - Bazzill Basics
Flowers - Prima - Windsor Roses, Windsor Roses 'Hampton', Baroque Blooms 'Deep Pink'
Leaves - Prima - Jewel Box Leaves 'Faberge', Heirloom Paper Leaves 'Pecan'
Flourishes - Prima - Say It In Pearls 'Swirls White', Say It In Pearls 'Swirls Cream', Say It In Crystals
Frame - Making Memories - Glitter Bling Pink Square Frame
Title Alphas - Making Memories - Tiny Alphas 'Brown Ledger'
Punch - Martha Stewart Crafts - Doily Lace Edge Punch
Others - Ribbon, Prima Package Backing

Be Unique

Using up my Primas so I have an excuse to buy the new collection! Lol!

I printed the photo in sepia as the layout is already so full of colour.

I sprayed a couple of the flowers with glimmer mists in similar shades as the other flowers in the layout, and I inked and applied crackle paint on top of the glimmer mist to the Alabaster flower for some added shades and texture.

I then added lace to simulate a "frame" peaking from behind the torn portions on the upper left of the layout.

Materials used:
Patterned Papers - Prima - Indeed Collection - Daydream, Raspberry Pastures
Cardstock - Basic Grey
Flowers - Prima - Camelot Roses Vanessa, Camelot Roses Burton, Gypsy Petals Soho, Gallery Roses Quillen, Alabaster Flowers Alissa, Trellis Roses Purple Mist, Gossamer Wings Orchid, Belle Fleur, Essentials 6, Flutter Vines Fuchsia
Leaves - Prima - Velvet Heirloom Rose Leaves Vineyard, Jewel Box Leaves Faberge
Butterfly - Prima - Gossamer Wings Orchid
Laces - Prima
Flower Centres - Prima - Sultan Gems Flower Centers
Flourishes - Prima - Say It In Pearls, Say It In Crystals
Glimmer Mist - Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist - Iridescent Gold, Pashmina, Honey Dew Mist
Title - Prima - Donna Downey Fabric Words "Be", Prima Pebbles "Definitions"
Others - Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Vintage Photo, and Broken China; Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint in Rock Candy; EK Success 3D Foam Dots

Joy

I did this layout for Custom Crops, using Prima's Sew Cute stitched paper, embellishments, and fabric letters. I chose the title "Joy" as this photo of my older DD was taken at her school's year-end award ceremony, immediately after she received a merit award for being top girl in her class last year. So it was a happy moment given how hard it had been for her to get where she is now.

With the exception of the blings and the cardstock I used to matt the photo, everything else in this layout is from Prima.

For a step-by-step how-to and full list of materials used, check out my article at Custom Crops.

Cousins

Here's a slightly older photo I found of my two girls and their cousins, taken during one of our many family get-togethers.

I used papers from DCWV's gorgeous Mariposa collection, and embellished with flowers, blings and lace from Prima, and chipboard shapes from the Mariposa collection as well.

I also sprayed a mix of Tattered Angels' Glimmer Mist in Honey Dew Mist and Jazz Blue on the background paper, to give it a blueish-greenish tone.

Materials used:
Patterned Papers - DCWV - Mariposa Collection
Chipboards - DCWV - Mariposa Chipboard Embellishments
Flowers - Prima - Alabaster Flowers Alissa, Homespun Elegance Vintage, Parlor Petals Verne
Vines - Prima - Cherry Blossom Branches in Blue, and White
Leaves - Prima - Velvet Heirloom Rose Leaves - Blueice
Flourishes - Prima - Say It In Crystals
Lace - Prima
Glimmer Mist - Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Honey Dew Mist, and Jazz Blue
Title Alphas - American Crafts Thickers - Nutmeg Glossy Letter Stickers in White
Others - 3D Foam Dots, Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Broken China
