Moments Cherished

This is the second layout I created for my Prima 'What A Lark!' class at Made With Love.

Again, lots of fussy cutting and layering ...

... and I also played with my Martha Stewart punches here.

I went for a light, almost white background, so as to allow for the many richly-coloured embellishments to stand out.

Gentle Beauty

This is the first of a series of three layouts I created for my Prima 'What A Lark!' class at Made With Love last month. The layouts feature papers and embellishments from Prima's lovely Meadow Lark collection.

I did lots of fussy cutting for this layout, and layered the hand-cut flowers over each other to create a very three-dimensional look.

The layout is then embellished with some pretty wood tickets from the same collection, as well as some bling and glitter for added sparkle.

Butterfly Dream

I created this layout yesterday and I'm really pleased with it. I used Prima's new Fairy Belle collection - I'm so loving these gorgeous papers! I created the layout on a piece of corrugated cardboard, and did lots of layering with foam dots.

I then embellished the piece with lots of flowers (of course!), their metal trinkets, chipboard pieces, and lace and crystal trim. The result is a very 3-dimensional and textured layout.

Flying High

I couldn't resist getting Basic Grey's new What's Up collection - I love the hot air balloons and the lovely colours. And don't you just love how the layered hot air balloon stickers are not just layered but can actually be folded upwards for a really wonderful 3D effect?

For this layout, I mixed the papers and layered stickers with Hambly's new Rain Clouds transparency, and played with some of my Martha Stewart edge punches.

And I applied some stickles to the hand-cut balloons for some added glitter.

Brilliant Sunset

I just wanted to share with you this painting which I completed last weekend, an acrylic piece on canvas. It's been quite awhile since I last painted anything and I'm quite pleased with how this turned out. :)

Count Your Blessings

I used BoBunny's beautiful Country Garden collection for this layout, again with some Dusty Attic goodness.

I applied Stampendous' Frantage Embossing Enamel onto the chipboard pieces, heated them, and then applied a thin layer of Tim Holtz's Distress Embossing Powder over various parts of the chipboard pieces and re-heated them again. I love the resulting texture on the chipboards.

The layout is further embellished with Prima flowers, Zva crystals, lace from Melissa Frances, some paper doilies, and a pretty metal trinket from BoBunny of course.
