A Beautiful Day

This is a long overdue layout. The photo was taken during my younger DD's birthday celebrations in January of this year.

The Lambert Experience

Early last month I brought my two DDs to watch Adam Lambert's Trespassing Concert here, as they're both huge fans of his. We managed to get some rather nice shots at the concert and I've been wanting to scrap them for my girls but could not find the right papers until I came across this one from Reminisce - perfect! And it had matching stickers to boot!

I mounted the photos and stickers onto cardstocks and used pop-up dots to give the layout a 3D look.

Leme Love - Mini-Album

I've been so hooked on my mobile's Leme Cam of late that I've been taking loads of pics on it, wherever I happen to be. It's reveal day at My Creative Sketches, and here's the new sketch for April.

For my DT layout, I used papers from Graphic 45's Secret Garden collection, and created a shadow box-like frame for the layout. I then lined the background with some muslin cloth for a soft yet textured look.

Living An Enchanted Life

This is a photo of my two beautiful girls taken on my birthday last year. I look at them and think of how wonderful they've turned out, and this phrase comes to mind - "living an enchanted life". Wishing they will always remain this blessed!

I just love the new March sketch from My Creative Sketches. Isn't it pretty?

For my DT layout, I used papers from BoBunny's C'est La Vie collection, which I water-distressed and then inked the edges. I like the effect this creates, giving the layout a "vintage" look.

I also double-layered the borders and the laces, and used pop-up dots for the photo and title piece, for a 3D effect.

Hello Germany

So, Graphic 45 just had to produce a collection based on one of my fave books - The Secret Garden, by Frances Hodgson Burnett. How can I not get this collection? It is so utterly beautiful!

The photo on this layout is of my older DD, taken during her school trip to Europe last year. She's standing in front of Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany, which was the actual inspiration for Disney's Sleeping Beauty castle.
