Adore

Here's another layout I did for Zva Creative.

I used papers from The Girls' Paperie's Paper Girl Collection. I cut out the flowers from the Cabbage Rose paper, outlined the roses with stickles, and propped up the cut-outs with 3-D pop-ups for added dimension.

I then decorated the cut-outs with more flowers and some lovely pearl flourishes from Zva Creative.

I layered the title over a ribbon and a punched out strip, using 3-D pop-ups as well.

Materials used:
Patterned Papers - The Girls' Paperie - Paper Girl Collection - Die Cut, Green Brocade, Newsprint Stripe, Cabbage Rose
Flowers - Zva Creative Bulk Flowers
Flourishes - Zva Creative Self-Adhesive Pearls - The Flora Flourish - White
Ribbon - The Girls' Paperie - Paper Girl Collection - Market Trims
Alphas - The Girls' Paperie - Paper Girl Collection - Die Cuts
Metal Charm - The Girls' Paperie - Paper Girl Collection - Glitter Charms - Quotes
Edge Punch - Martha Stewart Crafts Edge Punch - Doily Lace
Others - Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Tea Dye, Ranger Ice Stickles in Crystal Ice, EK Success 3-D Dots, K & Co Craft Glue, Kokuyo Dotliner

Sweet

So here's my very first DT work for Zva Creative. The box of goodies arrived on Wednesday and it was filled with gorgeous flowers, blings and brads! Of course, I couldn't wait to get started.

I used this lovely die cut paper from Webster's Pages' Lullaby Lane collection. As the photo was actually taken during Chinese New Year this year, with my DDs in their New Year finery, I decided to do up the layout like the frog buttons on a Mandarin collar, and these lovely crystal flourishes from Zva were the perfect design and size for this.

I decorated the area around the crystals with flowers, also from Zva, to which I had applied some stickles for added glitter.

The photo itself is mounted on 3-D pop-up dots for added dimension and I used my new Martha Stewart Crafts Monarch Butterfly Edge Punch to punch out the little butterflies lining the top and bottom of the photo.

The lovely crystal brads I used are also from Zva.

Materials used:
Patterned Papers - Webster's Pages - Lullaby Lane Collection - Die Cut, In Due Time
Cardstock - Bazzill
Flowers - Zva Creative Bulk Flowers, Zva Creative Heavy Silk Flowers
Flourishes - Zva Creative - Artistry Flourish Frame
Brads - Zva Creative Crystal Brads
Metal Plate - Tim Holtz Idea-ology Collection - Ornate Plates
Chipboard Title - Scenic Route - 'Our Story' Chipboard Circles
Edge Punch - Martha Stewart Crafts Edge Punch - Monarch Butterfly
Others - Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Black Soot, Ranger Ice Stickles in Crystal Ice, EK Success 3-D Dots, K & Co Craft Glue, Kokuyo Dotliner

Discover Yourself

Aren't the Cappella papers from Basic Grey lovely? For this layout, I did alot of hand cutting of the flowers from the Libretto paper. I then inked the edges and then applied stickles to the hand-cut flowers, for some sparkle and texture, and used 3D pop-up dots to adhere them to the cardstock for added dimension.

I also used my brand new Tim Holtz Scrollwork edge die on the Interlude paper. I just love this die - so pretty.

The layout is then finished with laces and flowers ....

.... and I applied crackle paint to the frame of the chipboard negative, for texture.

Materials used:
Patterned Papers - Basic Grey Cappella Collection - Libretto, Interlude
Cardstocks - Basic Grey Porcelain Collection - Denby Chiffon; Bazzill Basics
Flowers - Prima - Tea Roses - Peach Frost, Lilliput Roses - Marshmallow, Athena Flowers - Powder Puff, Valentine Vine - White
Laces - Prima
Chipboard Sticker - Bo Bunny Mama-Razzi Collection - Combo Stickers
Alphas - Making Memories Tiny Alphas - Black On White
Paper Clip - Basic Grey Cappella Collection
Die - Sizzix Tim Holtz On The Edge Die - Alterations Collection - Scrollwork

Hangin' Out

This is my new layout for Custom Crops. The photo is of my older DD and some of her gal pals just hanging out at the ice rink. I just love this die-cut paper from My Mind's Eye’s So Sophie Collection – there are so many things you can do with it. Here I added some stickles, flowers and tulle ribbon for a simple yet pretty layout. For a complete how-to, have a look HERE at the Custom Crops site.

Enjoy The Journey

I've been toying with my Primas again and came up with this. I've been wanting to do a layout showcasing their lovely corner swirl crystals, so I'm really pleased with how this turned out. The papers are from their Shabby Chic Collection.

I cut out a part of the frame from the Grape Twilight paper, inked the edges, and used lots of 3-D pop-up dots to adhere it, for dimension.

I also used pop-up dots to adhere the little butterflies, which were cut out from the Morning Poetry paper.

The layout is then completed with the corner crystals, and some flowers and lace.

Here's a look at the layout showing its depth and dimension.

Materials used:
Patterned Papers - Prima - Shabby Chic Collection - Morning Poetry, Grape Twilight, Sweets
Flowers - Prima - Belle Artes "Aquarius", Belle Artes "Poetry", Athena Flowers "Powder Puff"
Leaves - Prima - Heirloom Paper Leaves - Pecan
Crystals - Prima - Say It In Crystals - Small Corner Swirl - Clear
Lace - Prima
Journaling Chipboard - Prima - Pastiche Collection - Self Adhesive Glittered Chipboard Pieces -
Journaling
Alphas - Making Memories - Tiny Alphas - Brown Ledger
Others - Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Weathered Wood, Frayed Burlap; EK Success 3-D Dots

May's Prima Product Pick

Aren't these gorgeous?! I just love these new Prima picks in lovely shades of lavender. In fact, here's a quick and simple layout I did a couple of months back using some of the products featured here, namely, the Symphony Blend and Melange Flowers. The flowers were so lovely on their own that I hardly needed any other embellishments save the butterfly. :)

Memories

This layout is of my older DD and her sister and friends celebrating her 13th birthday at the ice rink. I love these papers from Pink Paislee’s Bayberry Cottage and 365 Degrees collections, especially the Porch Swing die-cut paper. And I accented the layout with yellow flowers from Prima to match the yellow top of the wall the girls were gathered around.

I did this layout for Custom Crops, so for more pictures and a complete how-to, check out their site HERE.

Amaze

I had a productive weekend last week, and thoroughly enjoyed National Scrapbooking Day on May 1, which also happened to be Labour Day Holiday for us here in Singapore. Naturally, I spent the day scrapping. :) I finished one layout for Custom Crops which is yet to be published on their site, and the other is this.

I used the reverse of the Black Polka Dot Paper from MME's Meadowlark "Dusk" Collection, and glimmer misted it with a mix of Peach Delight and Burnt Red Glimmer Mists from Tattered Angels. The paper has a faint, distressed-looking floral pattern on it, which I thought looked lovely when glimmer misted.

I then also took the glimmer screen I used, which still had some mists on it, and dipped the white Lilliput and Fairytale Roses from Prima into the "leftover" mists, to add the same colours to just the edges of the flowers. I complemented this with a dash of Pink Bubblegum Glimmer Mist sprinkled on the flowers.

I used 3-D pop-up dots for the photo and journaling, to give dimension, while more Prima flowers, some laces, and Robin's Nest complete the layout.

This layout contains more white space than is my usual style, with emphasis on the photo itself, and I must say I'm quite pleased with it!

Materials used:
Patterned Papers - My Mind's Eye Meadowlark "Dusk" Collection - Black Polka Dot Paper, Dark Decorative Paper
Journaling - My Mind's Eye Meadowlark "Dusk" Collection - Cards Paper
Glimmer Screen - Tattered Angels Glimmer Screens - Garden Blossom
Glimmer Mists - Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist - Peach Delight, Burnt Red, Pink Bubblegum
Flowers - Prima - Lilliput Roses in Marshmallow, Fairytale Roses in French White, Eclatte, Valentine Vine in Red
Leaves - Prima Rose Leaves
Laces - Webster's Pages, Prima
Others - Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Walnut Stain, EK Success 3-D Dots, String, The Robin's Nest - Pointsetta

True

I did this layout at a crop last Sunday. We were each given a similar kit to work with and see what we could come up with. Of course, we could add our own embellishments to suit our own individual styles. When I saw the kit, the first thing I thought was, "Oh no! This is so not my style!" But after the initial apprehension, I finally managed to come up with this. And I actually like it. Goes to show what you can come up with when you're thrown a challenge!

I borrowed a Sizzix Film Strip Die from my friend Pancy, who also happened to be the organiser of the crop. I inked the die-cut chipboard piece with Tim Holtz's Distress Ink in Barn Door red, and then applied Distress Crackle Paint in Clear Rock Candy to it.

I then used this as a base around which I "built" the flowers and butterfly.

I like the very layered, dimensional look of this.

Materials used:
Patterned Papers - The Girls' Paperie - On Holiday Collection - Travel Skirt, Mixed Dots, Vintage Travel
Die - Sizzix Film Strip Die
Inks - Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Barn Door, Frayed Burlap, Walnut Stain
Crackle Paint - Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint - Clear Rock Candy
Flowers - Prima - Valentine Vine Yellow, Athena Powder Puff, Zazi Seafoam, Petit Mums Amber
Butterfly - Prima - Andorra Pearl White
Alphas - American Crafts Thickers - Lullaby Glitter Letter Stickers in Rouge
Others - EK Success 3D Dots
