I was going through my stash of patterned papers recently for a crop I was attending and found these gorgeous papers from Prima's Shabby Chic collection. So I decided to use them for this layout of my younger DD. This layout is an almost entirely Prima layout, with the exception of the wood flourishes which are from Kaiser Craft.
I tore out the centre of the paper to create a random "frame" and placed another piece of patterned paper beneath it.
I then placed the mounted photo within the torn out frame and decorated the layout with flowers, leaves and vines from Prima, and the wood flourishes from Kaiser Craft.
All the edges of the papers are water-distressed and inked, and I inserted some laces under the torn frame, just enough to show them peeking out from beneath the torn edges.
This is the first time I'm trying out the water distressing technique and I really like the effect it produces. Thanks for dropping by! :)
