My DT layout for My Creative Sketches this month is inspired by this lovely sketch by Christine Meyer.
I used papers from DCWV's beautiful The Mariposa Stack, with embellishments from Prima Marketing, Petaloo, Pink Paislee and Webster's Pages, among others.
The photos were taken during our visit to the Longneck Karen Tribal Village in Chiangrai, Thailand last December, where we got to meet these amazing women and observe as they weave the beautiful scarves which they were selling. It was a wonderful, memorable experience, which I felt I had to document.
I substituted the star and pennants on the sketch with flowers, and used pop-up foam dots for the mounted photos to give the layout some dimension.
Here are some close-ups.
Now hop on over to the MCS blog for more inspiration, and to check out the wonderful prize that's been put together for this month's winner. Looking forward to seeing all your lovely layouts, so come play along and join in the fun!
